British Open Golf, July 2021

The Open returns to Royal St George's in Sandwich in 2021 for the first time since 2011 when Irishman, Darren Clarke took the spoils.

The 149th Open showcases the best players in the world as they compete for the Claret Jug and part of a prize fund of almost £10 million.

The golfers play for 8 days from Sunday 11th July 2021 with 4 practice days followed by 4 competitions days between Thursday 15th and Sunday 18th July 2021 when the winner will be announced.

Over 250,000 visitors

Over 250,000 visitors are expected to descend on the south coast over the week with many players and visitors looking to stay locally in many areas throughout the East Kent region.

The last 2 competition days are already sold out, tickets for the first two are also expected to sell out with practice day tickets also selling fast.
